Shirley and Cofield Hilburn definitely have a love affair with Victorian Crow’s Nest – a romance they’re anxious to share with you.  The couple relocated from Atlanta to the Charlotte area in June of 1995.  Cofield was pursuing another challenge in his career with The Foxboro Company; a company he had been employed by for 24 years.  Cofield gladly accepted this opportunity since North Carolina is “home” for both him and Shirley.  Soon after purchasing the Crow’s Nest estate, Cofield and Shirley immediately started to work with their ideas, and together created a full service wedding and banquet venue that takes care of even the finest detail.  To implement their dream, the Hilburns have combined talents, abilities, education, and experience into a fun and loving partnership.  Cofield, a graduate of Widner University, managed field engineer, field service, and customer service sales during his career with The Foxboro Company.  Shirley graduated from Rogers State College in Oklahoma and has skills in public relations, sales, decorating, and floral design, and experience in wedding consultation and catering.  As their new dream began to develop into what is now one of the most prominent and unique establishments for a special event, Cofield decided to retire from his career with Foxboro to join his wife in this pursuit.
