In 1837, Queen Victoria ushered in an era of virtue, modesty, and above all, elegance. Victorian Crow’s Nest has always reflected on this vintage charm, especially during the Christmas Season, which attracted the attention of Taylor Barto and William Carter as they were searching for the perfect venue to host their Victorian themed wedding reception December 20, 2014.
Although Taylor could not give up her dream of getting married in church, she still wanted to experience every moment of the vintage ambiance. So, early on the morning of the wedding, Taylor, along with her bridal party, enjoyed the day getting dressed, snacking, sipping hot beverages and just simply hanging out at Victorian Crow’s Nest as Photographer, Kelly Parker captured every moment before heading out to church for the ceremony.
Here is a sneak preview of Taylor and Will’s Fairy Tale Story:
December 8th 2012 – Jennifer & JL’s Wedding
Jennifer & JL chose a winter wedding. They wanted it to be romantic and elegant, yet simplistic. Everything was already decorated beautifully for Christmas, both outside and inside, which was a plus for Jennifer & JL. The front of the house was picture-perfect which made their guests feel like they were driving into a winter wonderland. The wedding took place right after sunset, outside in the beautiful gazebo. We put together beautiful lanterns to light the aisle because Jennifer & JL wanted the atmosphere to feel warm, cozy, and inviting. Jennifer & JL had a beautiful wedding and reception and were blown-away by how perfect their special day was!
December 7th 2012 – Kim & Jake’s Reception
Kim & Jake had a lovely winter reception! We had just put up all of our Christmas decorations for the season which gave the ballroom a festive, inviting atmosphere and provided natural decorations for Kim & Jake to build off of. To enhance the Christmas decorations already in place, we adorned the ballroom with red and green centerpieces and red chair bows. We prepared warm, rich foods for Kim & Jake’s reception. Kim & Jake’s winter reception turned out beautifully.
